Quality public education has become an important topic for all of our communities as we face how the low levels of education funding have impacted our classrooms and teachers.
We invite you to get involved in the fight for quality public education for all. What can you do? Here are some possibilities:
1. Write the Minister of Education and Premier Smith to ask for a fair deal for teachers
2. Write your MLA and ask them to speak up for increased public education funding.
3. Create a Video about why Public Education Matters and share it with the Alberta Teachers Association. The vocal video will provide prompts and questions to guide your submission.
4. Attend one of the Trustee Forums hosted by the Public Teachers, ATA Local 38. These 90-minute Zoom webinars are designed to provide voters with a clear understanding of where candidates stand on the challenges facing Calgary’s public schools. Join us to make an informed choice in the upcoming Trustee election and to show your support for strong, equitable, and well-resourced public education
